Leading at the top—an enterprise, a business or a major business function or a new venture—can be a lonely activity. Issues such as the executive's own growth and development, working relationships with the executive team, or specific business challenges are highly sensitive. A seasoned coach can serve as a confidential sounding board, offering a rare opportunity to discuss such matters, think out loud and receive constructive feedback. As an objective outsider and "talking partner" we can question and engage top leaders on major issues, an option less open to corporate insiders. Often, coaching also helps the executive to obtain valid data and outside perspectives to address specific issues or concerns.​

Depending on the executive’s agenda, coaching sessions may occur at regular intervals or on an on-call basis, often on an ongoing basis over several years.
